Our kitchen takeovers do exactly what it says on the tin. A town centre eaterie lets our chefs use their kitchen to cook surplus food and spread the word about how everyone can help divert some of the 1.9 million tonnes of food which is wasted every year from being discarded. Our diners are asked to “Pay What You Feel” so the more delicious the food – and it is delicious – the more money each diner pays for their meal. The pub or café gets new customers through their door, the diners get a lovely lunch and food which would otherwise have been wasted gets eaten. It’s a win:win:win.
